Manassas

We headed to Manassas this weekend for their sidewalk sale and farmers market. We also got to see a car show as well. Sidewalk sale was very disappointing, but the farmers market was wonderful. It was a fun Saturday morning outing.

History: In 1861, the First Battle of Manassas – also widely known as the First Battle of Bull Run – the first major land battle of the American Civil War, was fought near here. Second Manassas (or the Second Battle of Bull Run) was fought near here on August 28-30, 1862.They used several of these locomotive tires around town in the
early 1900's to alert the town of a fire.

CAR SHOW

Evey checking out the milk delivery truck that is just her size
Veggies were beautiful and delicious
Sweet Evey just enjoying her time out and about
Note the measuring tape...she was entertained with it for hours

Evey 14 Months

Evey is just so sweet and loving and so much fun. She is just soaking up everything. I love teaching her. She is responding and understanding all kinds of stuff. We were teaching her trash vs recycle (just for fun not serious)...sort of teaching her to throw her clothes in the laundry. She loves Eskimo Kisses now...she scrunches up her nose. She is getting very brave with her walking...running down the hall naked after her bath...lowering her hands down by her side. Talking a lot, especially in the car on the way to and home from school. She is also learning to point to things in books...we know cheerios...working on banana, apple, flowers, butterflies.
This is how she carries her blanket around now She loves looking out her window at the dogs next door
I love these pants on her...not sure why they look so cute
What? Just thirsty mommy (its empty)
So Happy

First off...we are praying and thinking of all our friends and family dealing with Ike. Love you

I guess I am official now
Yes I know, horrible picture...
I was so frustrated from being at the DMV for so long

I think overall...I am enjoying living here. The weather is fantastic. Warm but I can still take Evey walking everyday without fear of her overheating. We have pretty much struck out on churches 3 weeks in a row now. I called IBC this week to change my address with them and I started crying on the phone to the lady telling her that I miss the church so much. So groceries are more expensive here...there is really no way around it. Super Walmart is 30+ miles away next to the closest Sonic Drive-In so I really have no choice. So if you live any where close to the Super Walmart at Park and Dallas Tollway (which is the Neiman Marcus of Walmarts) and you do not shop there then SHAME on you. On the other hand...my electric bill is WAY lower than in Texas where the A/C works overtime. That's about all for now.
