Should I say this again...but we have the best neighborhood EVER. On Wednesday night, we all headed to the Prince William County Fair. It was dollar night...dollar entry and dollar rides...and demolition derby. We all had a blast.
Corndogs and funnel cake were delicious. Evey enjoyed watching the demolition derby and riding her first fair rides...wiggle worm and dumbo. It was a wonderful mid week outing. Despite us keeping her out way past her bedtime, Evey was just happy to be there.
Corndogs for everyone

We are a little late cause I forgot to make the appointment...shocker. I think Evey is doing wonderful developmentally. She is talking up a storm. We counted after the doctors appointment...7 word complete sentence. She seems to be learning to play well with others. Just watching kids that seems to be one of the hardest things to teach. To share, when everything is mine...to wait their turn when there is only one such and such to ride on. She has only had 2 huge meltdowns when she didn't get her way. We are trying to use "Love and Logic" to prevent these from happening. Evey seems to be responding really well right now to choices and time warnings. I am sure this will change but it is working now. We still need lots of practice. She loves to go swimming. She is doing great with kicking and jumping off the side, just need to work on holding her breath. I hope she doesn't lose everything over the winter. She is still a great eater...loves her fruits and veggies. And her favorite movie is "Cars." I know I am leaving stuff out but she is so fun right now. She makes us laugh all the time. She was wearing my flip flops last night...took them off...told me to put them on...then said "Good choice, mommy" I was cracking up.

Here is Evey's new room. I am really happy the way it turned out. All we lack is some lighting, which is on back order. There is SO much color in the room, but I think she likes it. She has been sleeping in her big girl bed for about a month now. The transition was a breeze. Of course, she doesn't realize that she can get out the bed on her own. I am hoping that we are creating good habits now so we she does realize then we will already have our good habits.

Last night we had an outdoor movie night for the neighborhood. Everyone brought over their chairs, popcorn, and candy. It was like a drive in except infinitely better. We watched Goonies...classic! It was a blast. If I could have magically removed the bugs then it would have been perfect.

We hung a couple of bed sheets across the front of our house. Our front door is just to the right of the screen.
