A couple of weeks ago Stephanie and I took the girls to see Disney Princesses on Ice. It was so fun. We took the train, ate lunch and then caught the show. It was really fun. The girls were such a delight. They just had so much fun together.

Long story, but our original seats were nose bleed. It was the last show in DC so Stephanie worked her magic and they upgraded to really good seats for free. I was happy with them.

Wednesday, I took Evey to the allergist and asthma doctor. She is really really allergic to peanuts and a little bit allergic to cats and dogs. It was a long appointment but she did really good. Better than expected considering they pricked her 24 times. The nurse was really sweet, she gave her like 12 various girlie stickers, 3 princess bandaids plus 1 to take home and a candy. We are back on daily nebulizer for her asthma. The doc wants to be aggressive about it now to get it under control so she doesn't develop scar tissue.
Here is the injured soldier...the picture looks way worse that it was...this was the second round down the arm. Poor thing

Did you know that you can only be allergic to the protein? So when they separate the oils from the peanut you aren't allergic to the oil. Example: Five Guys fries their fries in peanut oil and she can eat those no issues.

A couple of things I have come across recently. So these won't make you rich, but every little bit helps.
- Paper Products: Try not to buy. Saves money and the environment. Use towels, wash clothes in the kitchen and cloth napkins at the dinner table.
- Junk mail, School Handouts: If it is blank on the other side then I use it to print online coupons etc. If it has my name on it then I either black sharpie it out and/or shred the scraps. I rarely print anything without something on the other side.
- Beans: I have been trying to cook dried beans from the bag instead of buying canned. It saves at least 50% and you can control the sodium (zero added). I freeze in amounts similar to the can.
- Chicken: Roasted chickens...you can barely buy a whole chicken for the same price as those roasted ones in the store. But what makes it an even better deal is making chicken broth from the bones. Again you can control the sodium. And it tastes so much better. Recipe
- Wipes Tubs: You can use the empty tubs to store crayons, markers, stamps, anything you can think of.
