Our Family

So when we moved to Dallas, 4 years ago, a friend asked me to join her bible study of which I knew only her. The girls accepted me and loved on me like I had known them for years. I have been hanging out with these girls now for 4 years. They have been a support system for me. Each woman is so beautiful on the inside and out. Each has her own special talents and abilities. Each, I have learned so much from.

Ladies, thank you so much for your friendship, prayers and support. Thank you for loving on me and Evey. Thank you for loving the Lord. You ladies will be missed so dearly. I love you.

On Saturday we all went to Rosemeade Park in Carrollton. This place is awesome, like a mini Wet n' Wild. We didn't stay too long but it was really fun. Click Here to see the video

Evey had her 1 year appointment on Wednesday. She did not do great. It was during her morning nap so she was already fussy. She will not sit on that paper cause paper is bad...paper means shots. So of course she got shots. "See Moma....paper is bad...I knew it." She is a little person...may be awhile before we get to turn the seat around.

Her iron is in the low range. She is not anemic but it is a little lower than they prefer. We are trying to get her iron rich foods...broccoli yum.

Evey had a wonderful birthday party this past weekend. James was able to come home and see us and say bye to everyone before we leave. Aunt Chris and Uncle Johnny let us use their membership at Brookhaven Country Club. We had a large tent out by the pools. They served hamburgers and hot dogs...grilled cheese and fruit for the kids. Everyone got to swim. Then the kids sat on towels all together and ate their lunch...it was so cute. Mimi (Jamie) made all the cup-cakes and a personal cake for Evey. It was a wonderful day with friends and family.

What a wonderful year! We have come a long way together and it is only the beginning, little one. You are such a joy to me and your Dad. You are so easy going and always ready for a new adventure. Evey is 1 year old today. Boy time sure does fly by. Evey is growing and learning so fast. She is trying to talk and say words that you teach her. I was trying to teach her hot while I was cooking then 2 days later I put something really warm in her mouth and she totally said hot. Of course..."Dog" is still the favorite word of choice. She is trying really hard to walk...at least as Mary's. She doesn't have any interest around me cause she knows I will carry her...my fault but I really don't care cause before I know it she will be too big to have on my hip. She is a pretty good sharer as far as I have seen. She always tries to feed me when I ask and sometimes when I don't ask. She is having and birthday party this weekend so I will post pictures of that soon.

Evey and I tried out Gymboree play class on Friday. It was really fun. Evey did really well for her first class. She was willing to try everything. She didn't cry. It was great. If I was a stay at home mom...I would take her weekly.
Evey saw her first bunny out the window at my mom's. The bunny sat there and stared at us a long time before it moved on.

Our sweet friends, Mike and Kristen, had Evey and I over for dinner this week. Dinner was yummy. Evey only wanted to play with Macy...they love each other.

Evey and I flew up to Michigan for July 4th weekend...James met us there. We had a wonderful time hanging out and relaxing. Beautiful weather...warm but not sweltering like in Texas. We played Croquet, Washers but with bags?, stick golf, swam in the lake, went for boat rides. Evey LOVED riding on the pontoon. She would watch the boys swim and laugh...it was so cute. Evey took her first unassisted steps this weekend to James. It was perfect...her first steps to James. She was so wonderful the whole time...plane ride home was rough tired baby not sleeping...fun times. Here are a couple of pictures more to come
