Weekend Fun

Every now and then I get sad about being here in Virgina and feel like I am missing out on what is going on the lives of Texas family and friends. (Thank goodness for Blogs). Then the Lord blesses us with weekends like this past one.

So it got hot here...90s. YAY. So I pulled out the little blow up pool that Mimi brought for the cup cakes at Evey's first birthday party. And well here came the kids. You fill it and they will come. Evey didn't really want to get in...little cold I think. But it was so much fun. Both Saturday and Sunday. We got out lawn chairs and hung out, lots of fruit snacks and popsicles. Sunday, we are hanging out by the pool and all of a sudden in 5 minutes we had an impromptu cookout. Everyone brought something and we all ate dinner together and had ice cream. It was wonderful...aside from church we spend in the whole weekend in our front yard.

Aunt Kiss and Cherry Blossoms

Two weekends ago my sister came up for a visit. We really enjoyed having her here. We toured some sites in DC and Alexandria. We obviously don't have bluebonnets here but we do have Cherry Blossoms. We got some really good pictures.

Easter Egg Hunt

We had a wonderful weekend hanging out with James's family last weekend. We had a really nice Easter dinner. And Evey had fun Easter Egg hunting...
