Evey 18 Months

Evangeline turned 18 months this month. Monday, she had her checkup and it was wonderful. The doctor asked very specific questions about her development and brought a few toys in, to she what she would do. She did wonderfully and is right on track developmentally. She is 30 inches tall and 20 lbs 2 oz. She has probably 40 or so words that she uses regularly. Doctor said to expect her to start putting several words together any day now. She is so fun and so sweet. She loves puzzles, books and coloring. She had fun finger painting the other day, but kept saying "mess" "mess." Every morning on the way to school...she says "Bus" "Bus"...we look for school buses every morning and she gets so excited when we see one. She is also doing very well saying "Pease" and "Tank You". Oh and she LOVES having Moses here. She gives him treats and kisses. Here are some pictures over the last several months...there are a lot mostly for the grandparents.

Moments

So per Melissa's suggestion, I read this post last week called My Daughters hands, a very sweet tear jerker. Then on Sunday, I had the same experience. We went to the mall Sunday afternoon to walk around a bit. No stroller, the 3 of us held hands and walked the mall slowly. Evey loves to hold our hands and have us swing her. So we were swinging her and I had a "moment." I thought back to when I was a little girl and I loved going on walks and being swung by 2 adults. So fun! Then I thought, one day her and her husband will be walking along swinging her daughter and she will remember how much she loved it.

Evey....I love you, sweet girl, and look forward to many more times of Daddy and I swinging you down the path.

Christmas

We got to go to The Woodlands for Christmas. All the Dallas crew came down as well, my mom, sister, Memaw, Pepaw, and James's Aunt and Uncle. It was a full house, but tons of fun as usual. Lots of Wii Bowling! Christmas was wonderful and horrible at the same time. Evey was really sick. We were having to wake her up every 2 hours to give her juice or popsicle...anything she would take down. It was aweful...I would much rather go back to infant breastfeeding than this. She wasn't eating so cause of her MCAD stuff we had to take her to the hospital on Christmas night to get and IV of fluids. From there it got better and better, but you can see in the pictures that she wasn't feeling well. It just stinks cause everyone wasn't able to really enjoy her cause she was feeling so yucky. Anyway, dispite that it was wonderful to see everyone. We got to have dinner with some friends from Dallas so that was a nice treat.

Uncle Barry and Uncle Ryan got Evey a pink 4-wheeler,
now she won't be the only one on the cul-de-sac without wheels of some kind

Trying to open presents...she only opened a couple before she wanted to go back to bed

She loves her new Doodle pad...great for the plane ride as well

Working on puzzle with Cousin Aaron
Starting to feel better so Uncle Barry took me out on the
