Chuck E Cheese's

Last weekend Evey was invited to her first "official" birthday party at Chuck E Cheese. This was also her first time there. She did not know what to do. She walked in...eyes wide open...she looked a little lost. It is like sensory overload in there. It was really fun though. We played games, ate food and cake, danced with Chuck E. I think she had fun and crashed in the car on the way home.

Labor Day Weekend

We had a full weekend last week. We hosted the neighborhood fantasy football draft in the almost complete basement. The projector was all set up (the most important part) but no flooring yet. I think they all had a great time. [No pictures] Sunday, the neighborhood drove out to an Apple Orchard, to pick apples. It was really fun. The orchard was beautiful. Apples were delicious. Especially the kind called Honey Crisps. Honey Crisps are new to me. Um hello...hands down the best apples ever. [pictures below] Sunday night, the neighborhood grilled out and then we did an outdoor movie. Fun, fun and more fun. Monday we rested.

This dog was so sweet and pretty, she let

but she looked exactly like a golden puppy.

Last Week of Summer

Evey's school did a last week of summer celebration. Each day there was a theme so I took a picture of her each morning.
Monday: Jeans and Jersey Day
We opted for Cheerleader...Touchdown
Tuesday: Hat day

Wednesday: Costume Day

Thursday: Pajama Day
Friday: Pizza party and dance

Sprinkler Park

Walking distance from our house...wooded trail...is a sprinkler park. It is part of the pools that are included in our HOA. We took Evey there last weekend. The 3 of us had a ball. It is basically just concrete with 5 or 6 different sprinkler stations. It is run by motion so if no one is playing all the sprinklers turn off. Anyway, fun family outing and good exercise getting there and back for me at least.

Singing

Sunday night Evey put on a little show for our next door neighbors. She sang Twinkle Twinkle, Amazing Grace and Sanctuary (this one is a little rough, need more practice). I couldn't believe she knew every word of amazing grace.

The Words to Sanctuary are:
Lord prepare me, to be a Sanctuary
Pure and holy, tried and true
With Thanksgiving, I'll be a living
Sanctuary for you
