Our Family

I haven't done a post just for Miss Evey in awhile. She is such a delight. She is currently totally into Dora. She has a back pack like Dora, she wears Dora and Fancy Nancy panties. She loves wearing "pretty" dresses (even if they are just casual). She can count in English and Spanish. She loves to sing. She can hear a song once or twice and know the words. She is learning the Lord's prayer. It is so hard to say the prayer when you have to go really slow, we forget the lines all the time when teaching her. She loves Austin to bits and is just so loving to him (with an exception here or there).
I don't have much to compare to, but she has definitely NOT been a "terrible" two. We are working on a couple of things. Pouting for one. We have to go to our room if we want to pout. Also, immediate consequences for not listening. Unfortunately, she is already an excellent selective listener, which scares me. I'm just worried if she is running out in the street and I say "Stop" that she may not stop.

So we are at Moe's and she states that she needs to go poo poo in the potty. I am glowing with proudness that she asked and actually wanted to #2 in a restaurant. So she is sitting there and she glances over her shoulder and says very matter of fact, "He is going for a swim in the water." I about died laughing. (Later that week she asked to wear panties to school instead of pullup and bam potty training over)

We were in the car, driving by a starbucks and I say. Evey do you like starbucks. She replys, "Um of course, I do." Like hello I am 2 1/2, why would I not like starbucks.

(catch up post) Last month the girls went on an over night trip to Richmond to see wicked. Our first stop was Maymont, 100 acre estate. It was fantastic. The house was really neat, the grounds were beautiful.

Austin is doing amazing. He is such a happy baby. He just smiles ALL the time and wants to be a part of the action. Over the past month is has laughed, rolled over and started holding and playing with toys.

He prefers to sleep on his tummy. Right now Miss Evey can do no wrong in his eyes. She leans on him, kisses him, gets in his face, hugs him and he just loves it all. Yesterday, he was crying cause he was hungry and she was trying to cheer him up with a toy, saying "It's okay, Austin." So cute.

We will start working on getting him to a 4 hour schedule between feedings and prolly not start cereal till 5 or 6 months. We will also be working on rolling from back to tummy. Gosh, I just love this little guy. He is so darn cute, I could just eat him.

We are at the Funk's house in Ponte Vedra, FL. We had a huge Easter egg hunt for the kids. Evey had so much fun. Her style is slow and fine comb for eggs. She got all the ones that the big kids left behind. She also got to color the eggs, which probably would not have happened at our house.
