Labor Day

We just hung around the house most of the weekend sorting through the basement and doing various projects. We went on a long walk down one of the trails near our house. It was a fun little adventure. The trail ended on the street near when one of James's friends from the academy is living. So we dropped in to say hello.

Our cul-de-sac had a big cookout, pot luck for labor day. Great food, good time getting to know everyone. Evey had fun, she ate a ton.

These are Evey's walking shoes...they fit great and she does really well with
them outside...thanks Greenley for the hand me downs

Mom...what you got in here?

What's Evey Up To

Evey is a busy girl. She is a officially a full time walker now. She is even doing well in shoes when we go outside. She is learning words here and there at least her version of the words. She is understanding and responding to all kinds of stuff. It was like click....I understand you mommy. She is eating very well...grapes are the favorite...but she still eats her veggies. We are just having a little trouble getting her to drink milk from a sippy cup. She will drink water and juice but not milk. She is making friends with a little girl on our cul-de-sac named Laney. She is 21 months...adopted from China...precious. They ride around in Laney's 2 seater wagon.

Helping with laundry...ok so I am just riding in the basket
Peggy is my horse...she is soft...I can lay on her to drink my bottle...
she also makes a nice chair so I can watch cartoons

Graduation

Graduation was wonderful. It was a really neat ceremony. The opening video was a recap of the 21 week adventure produced by none other than James. The speakers were eloquent and to the point. The graduates then took the oath to serve. I think the best part for me was seeing James' Dad give James his credentials with the Director. James had tons of support there...Rob (dad), Alexa (stepmom), Joe (uncle), Mary (aunt), Tim (stepdad), Leanna (mom), Flay (uncle), Brenda (aunt), Alex (cousin), Charles (fatherinlaw), Jamie (stepmominlaw), Bret (cousininlaw), Sally (cousininlaw) and of course Evey and me. Thank you all so much for being there for us. We had a wonderful time. Thank you also for those of you at home for your prayers, calls, emails and support from a far.

Bye bye, Mary's Little Lambs

Well, Evey said goodbye to Mary. Friday was her last day at Mary's Little Lambs.
It was very sad and hard to say goodbye. How do you express your appreciation for caring for your child? For giving her all the love and provision that she needed? They have helped her learn, to crawl, to walk, to hold her own bottle, to start talking. Anyway, thank you so much, Mary for loving on our child. There are no words to express our appreciation. You will be missed.
