Threes Class

This week was Evey's first week in her new class room. She moved up a month early. This was also the first week of summer adventures. This week's theme was gross and goo. They made play-dough, jello and some other goo stuff. I think she likes her new class but I also thinks she misses her friends or maybe she misses being the high man on the to tum pole. Now she is the youngest again but I already notice her changing being around the older kids.Thursday I took off a little earlier so we could go see Laney's first recital. Evey really really enjoyed watching all the girls perform. Their little costumes were so so cute. It was a fun afternoon just Mommy and Evey.

Didn't do much this weekend but hang out as a family. Our little kiddie pool from Evey's 1st birthday finally got a hole in it so we bought this pool with slide and waterfall. Daddy tried it out as well. And of course some homemade, gatorade popcicles.

Moses (9/11/2002 - 6/20/2010)

Father's Day was a little tough on us. Moses had not been eating for a couple days and we took him to the vet Saturday night. He was really dehydrated and they started him on fluids. While they had him overnight they ran several tests. None of the tests pointed to anything positive. It was most likely a liver problem caused either by disease or cancer. Unfortunately for Moses, the future didn't look good and we decided life had run its course for our little buddy.

Moses was a great dog and he served his role well for the Prices. He joined the family very early in our marriage and just rolled with the punches as we moved several times and added 2 more members to the family. He was always very loving and preferred relaxing on the couch snuggled up to somebody to normal dog endeavors. It's funny how you start to miss some of the things that used to bug you before, but I'm not used to the silence yet after the door bell rings or someone knocks on the front door.

Thanks for being such a great family member Mo. We surely enjoyed the time we had with you. The next family dog sure has some big shoes to fill. We love you and will miss you.

Austin's Dedication Party

Sunday night we had our neighborhood family and some friends over for dinner to celebrate Austin. James was practicing with his new smoker. Ribs and pork butt turned out wonderful. Moses enjoyed some bones. It was hot and humid but everyone seemed to have a really good time.
Austin enjoyed all the attention

Evey and Laney had a blast in this pool...
we could not get them out

It was such a wonderful day...despite me locking the keys in the car at 7-11, while it was running and Austin inside. Oh yea, first time in my whole life. Austin had a great nap, while James had to run up to the dealership to get another key made. I think that Austin knew it was his special day cause I had to take him in the car to get him to nap. It was a wonderful day. Thank you to all for being with us.

Austin's Dedication Service

Austin 6 Months

Austin is doing great. Great reports from the doctor. He is very healthy and happy happy. He went on his first plane ride to Texas and did excellent. He started eating cereal at night and will start veggies soon. He is almost sitting up on his own. He's very grabby grabby and grabs at everything, just so curious to see what everything is and how it works. He's very social. He will let you know when he wants to help in the kitchen or be a part of the conversation. He is very interested in what the rest of us are eating but he loves his cereal. And of course, Evey just hangs the moon. He is just the sweetest boy ever. His smile is so contagious and just melts me.

Memorial Weekend - 2010

We had a great time in Texas for Memorial Weekend. We got to see most everybody from the family. For many it was their first time to meet Austin, so that was fun too. We got down to Galveston for a day which was nice. James got to golf. Char got multiple drinks from Sonic. Evey got to hang out with Greenley and had so much fun, they were so cute together. It was just a good trip all around, even the plane rides weren't too bad.

Grampa was the whole time. Evey did have fun "ducking" under the bridges.

It was a nice long weekend.
This is how we all felt at the end.
